The MUN11/17/2017 Art is not what you see, but what you make other see. f you are an art lover you must take advantage of a lifetime opportunity the University of Navarra offers: be part of the MUN (Museo Universidad de Navarra). There are two ways to participate in the MUN: as an "embajador" (ambassador) or as a "guía" (guide). I have been both since I started college and my experience about how I see art and how I talk about it has changed completely. First of all, as "embajador" your work consists in promoting the MUN and arranging meetings, visits and spectacles with classmates and/or friends. Thus, you get to know a bunch of new people and improve your social skills. Likewise, as "guía" you give visits to any visitors desiring to know more about the MUN and the expositions, so you really need to understand the works of art and communicate your knowledge in an accessible and clear way, that is, make concepts easy to understand for your public. You might think it ss a lot of work, but the truth is that your co-workers understand your situation and always try to help you, you just need to talk to them and be open. In addition, the experience you acquire at the MUN is worthy because you will improve your communication skills significantly and your self-esteem will most surely boost. I have found that helping others to see and understand art is one of the most valuable and fulfilling activities. Furthermore, it is really easy to be part of the MUN; in fact, the directors love to have a lot of volunteers. You can contact them and ask for more information or you can visit them from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm. The entrance to the MUN is free for UNAV students and the daily guided visits start at 6pm. Also, you can go to the restaurant and enjoy the building or you can enjoy an spectacle. Whatever you choose is perfect, but what you should not do is to miss the opportunity of visiting the MUN! Let´s start pedaling11/17/2017 Pamplona is a fantastic city, here visitors or students can relax and take a cup of coffee in the City Council's square or go for a walk with the mere objective of enjoying the sights, as there are many corners one can visit, most of them related to the Sanfermines, but many others reliving Pamplona's ancient history, like the citadel or more recent and modern buildings such us our lovely University, the University of Navarre. Among all its favorable aspects, one to be enlightened is how comfortable this city is for visitors, students and Pamplonicas, as distances are small. The town is not tiny, but it is not big either, fact due to which people can go walking or cycling or in the villavesas (the strange name they label public buses with) everywhere. This simple aspect makes life more comfortable and also cleaner, because thanks to it there are not huge amounts of cars in the vicinity of the city an in the streets. If you like cycling, this is your city, but if you do not have a bicycle, there are some points through the city where you can rent one to ride through the streets of Pamplona. This is a service of the city council of Pamplona and it is fantastic: the bikes are in a very good state and many people use them in their day to day. It is simply magnificent, we could not ask for more. Diego Juan Hernández Writing directly from UNAV and FCOM. 2nd year student of History and Journalism Archives
